Prince Charming... or Farmer Charming....?

There are two type of men out there: Prince Bozo and Farmer Boaz. Here I will tell you the difference between the two...

A Bozo: his eyes linger
A Boaz: Bounces his eyes
A Bozo: Is Disrespectful
A Boaz: Is Respectful
A Bozo: Avoids my eyes
A Boaz: Looks into my eyes
A Bozo: A bum
A Boaz: A hard worker
A Bozo: Never listens
A Boaz: Listens
A Bozo: Never controls his anger
A Boaz: Controls his anger
A Bozo: Hard to please/demanding
A Boaz: Easy to please/ content
A Bozo: Does not value relationships
A Boaz: Treasures relationships
A Bozo: Starts an argument
A Boaz: Stops an argument
A Bozo: Does everything he can to destroy my purity
A Boaz: Does everything he can to save my purity
A Bozo: Criticizes my looks, relationship with God, and my purity
A Boaz: Admires my relationship with God and my purity but sees me as beautiful
A Bozo: Is loud and obnoxious
A Boaz: Is quiet and is pleasing to be around
A Bozo: Is full of Passion
A Boaz: Is full of Compassion as well as passion
A Bozo: Unforgiving
A Boaz: Forgives

In the Bible it talks about a bozo (Prince Amnon) in case you are unfamiliar with who he is, in 2 Samuel 13. The guy that was in love with Tamara. He is the ultimate in BOZO!!!

Now read Ruth... Boaz... He was respectful, hard working, and admired her zest for God.

Sadly so many women don't want to wait, so the find Bozos instead of waiting for a Boaz. Every woman has a Boaz... but they make the choice to find a B-O-Z-O! Wait, even though I am not married yet, I know it is worth the wait. I am waiting for a Boaz to pursue me.
a zest for God
patient
 respectful
sensitive
sincere
good sense of humor!!
Good with children
Wants to homeschool
Humble
pure
isn't afraid to cry...

That is my list...

This is it my folks!

Love,
Marie
P.S.
You men that are reading this, do me a favor: Become BOAZS!!!!!

Invisible

She sits silently
in a dark corner.

... Nobody smiles at her.
Nobody looks at her.
Nobody speaks to her.

She sits and crys.
Nobody hears her tears
hit the floor.

Nobody knows her name.
Nobody knows where she came
from.

She just sits as her
body rakes with sobs.

No warm hello greets her ears.
No pat on her shoulder tells her
not to fear.

Agony and loneliness fills
her sad eyes

When she goes home tonight,
She will put a gun to her head.

~~~~~
Invisible
~~~~~

He watches the team
congratulate each other.

Nobody says a word to him.
Nobody gives him a second glance.
Nobody high fives him
They just pass him by.

He sits alone on a bench.
A tear slips off his tanned face.

Nobody hears him draw in a shaky breath.
Nobody notices him alone.
Nobody tells him how great he is.

But when he goes home tonight,
he will write his wife a goodbye note
and cut his wrists.

~~~~
Invisible
~~~~

She falls on her knees,
crying out in agony.

Nobody seems to see her.
Nobody seems to hear her mournful cry.
They just pass her by.

Laughing and pushing to get a better view.
The crowd rages on.

She crys as she hears the agonizing
scream of her beloved son.

Her heart breaks at the sound of the pounding
hammer.

Nobody notices the mother suffering.
They pass her by without a second glance.

She watches as the cross rises up into the darkened sky.

"Eli sHalom!" she cries as she turns away.

She has never felt more invisible...
~~~~
She sits in a corner alone...
He sits on a bench alone...
She stands under the cross alone...
~~~~

She raised the gun to her head and
almost pulled the trigger when her mother
walked in and took her into her arms.
~~~~~~
He held the knife to his wrist when his wife
walked in congradulating him on his game.
~~~~~~

She turned weakly to find herself
in John's arms.
~~~~~~
Invisible... He died for you...
but He never left you either.
Redneck Entertainment
Here is our boating expedition... our maybe I should say my l2 year old brother's boating expedition...
Putting a sail on his "boat"
Meanwhile.... My other brother was building a boat out of HLS tubs.
\
His sail...
Fixing the bottom of his boat... it was full of holes.
Finally in the water!
Soon he was screaming "Mayday! Mayday! Abandon ship!"
Back in the boat again!
Then it crashed...
This is redneck entertainment.
Brownie recipe.... very good recipe...
I made brownies yesterday. It was a very simple recipe. They were fast easy and good.
Here is the recipe:
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels (divided)  set one cup aside. and heat the butter and one cup of chocolate chips in the microwave.
1/2 cup butter or margarine, cut into pieces
3 large eggs
1 1/4 cups of double ground whole wheat flour
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup of chopped nuts (if desired)
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan
Melt 1 cup morsels and butter in a glass measuring cup
Heat for 45 seconds, stir and reheat until smooth and gooey (DO NOT LICK THE CHOCLATE OFF THE SIDES! IT IS VERY HOT!)
In your mixing bowl toss your flour, sugar, vanilla extract, and baking soda. and throw your gooey chocolate into that mixing bowl.
Then throw in those sweet yummy chocolate chips and nuts.
Spread into your greasy nasty baking pan. (batter will be purty stiff, so use gorilla strength and mash that little booger into that pan.)
Bake your delicious brownies for 18 to 22 minutes or until you butter knife comes out clean. Cool completely. Then cut her up!
(While you wait, lick the mixing bowl clean. Remember every great chef does the same thing! That measuring cup wouldn't mind a good licken' too!)
Last but not least enjoy and thank me for sharing this recipe!!!
4 U
Here is a poem I wrote a while back... I really like it. It is a love poem. It is not dedicated to anyone... yet.
4 U
Your eyes
meet mine.
My heart is
pounding.
My breath
cuts short.
I am drowning,
Drowning in the depths
of your eyes.
My head is
in the clouds.
I am crazy...
I know.
I forget where I am.
Who I am.
I do things I
never have done.
What am I feeling?
I am so relieved
you don't have super
keen hearing.
Otherwise you'd be
hearing my poor ol'
heart pound.
I know I have failed
at acting casual.
But it seems impossible,
to be casual when I am
with you.
I feel so light.
So.. alive...
Maybe I should keep this
to myself...
But I am not sure.
What's a girl to do?
I am just wasting my time
writing this 4 U!
~Marie~
I wrote this in February. I like it... it is actually my first love poem.
I hope you enjoyed it.
Bye!
Rambles, Rumbles, and more Rambles
Remember me? I am the person who owns this blog. I sometimes write... anyhow. Today is Wednesday. Three weeks from now is my favorite holiday. Guess... Thanksgiving!!!! I LOVE Thanksgiving. My favorite part is the friends and family that come to visit that day. (Not to mention the AWESOME food!) Thanksgiving week we have that week OFF! No school. Well, unless you consider cooking, baking, cleaning, and sweating school.
Our menu consists of:
Turkey
Ham
Chess Pie
Pecan Pie
Grandmother's Dip (The most awesome food ever!)
Trash (Otherwise known as Party Mix)
Cherry Pie
Apple Pie
Pecan-less Pie
Dressing
Giblet Gravy
Pumpkin Pie
Fruit Salad
Cranberry Sauce
Sweet Potatoes with marshmallows and sugar
Buttered Sweet Potatoes
Tortilla Roll-Ups
----------------------------
We make all of that stuff... So we always have alot! (Besides we have people bring what they like) My sister-in-law "makes" a chocolate pie... she says it is quick and easy, just run to the Hoffman shop and buy two chocolate pies. They are soooo good! They are actually chocolate meringue pie. We are hoping to have the Goodfellow Air Force Base join us for thanksgiving.
Besides the food and people, I am just thankful to be surrounded with love, and joy. I am thankful for my siblings, my family, my friends, my donkey, a house, clothes, last but not least- God. I am thankful I am His daughter. I am also thankful for my purity.
Thanks for reading!!!!
Today is... Monday?
It is Monday already, isn't it sad how time flies? Sometimes I think, Yesterday I was born, today I am turning 14. Wow, time does fly. I wish that sometimes life would slow down, or at least stop a second or two to let me catch my breath. Well, I don't see that happening anytime soon so I suppose I better hang on for the ride.
The 20Th my niece turned two! TWO! I can still remember EVERYTHING that happened the night she was born. It feels like it happened yesterday! She is now the sweetest two year old niece I know. I love her.
Yesterday, we celebrated her Birthday Party. Some friends came over and their kiddos, so I took them to see my bestest friend... Tunia. I think she was overwhelmed with all those kids loving on her because she turned and kicked me on the hip. I now have a perfect hoof mark on my hip. It hurt, but I tend to be one of those people, I don't scream or cry. If I am hurt, I usally won't say anything, even when inside I am gritting my teeth. Kinda like the saying goes, "When I say I am fine, I want them to turn, hug me, look me in the eye and say "No your not."
Except, I don't like hugs. I don't like any physical touch. Wether it's hugs, kisses, or even hand holding. I DO NOT like being touched. If you want to get to know someone like me, talk. Yes, there is a such thing as talk but don't touch.
So today is Monday.... yay!
Thank You for reading.
P.S
I drew this picture last night,
God Bless Texas!!!! (and the USA)
Pumpkin this and that's
Yesterday we roasted a pumpkin in the oven. Today we did something yummy with the pumpkin.
Here is the pumpkin pudding I made... It tastes as good as it looks.
\
Here is proof!
Ingredients:
1/2 c. milk
1/2c. sugar
3 c. of pureed pumpkin
3-4 dashes of Cinnamon (depending on how Cinnamon you want it)
1-2 dashes of vanilla
if desired, you can put 1-2 dashes of nutmeg.
Spray a pan with olive oil and put into the oven until the knife comes out clean/
Mom made Pumpkin cake. It was really good too.
She used a carrot cake recipe, but tweaked it to pumpkin instead of carrot.
The Pink Sweater
This little post is about my pink sweater.
The pink sweater pictured below, is one of the little sweaters we hand out to the kiddos without any jackets. This little sweater in particular has a story to go with it.
Now I don't remember exactly where or how I got it. But I have had it since I was 5 or 6. As you can tell it says "Trouble" on it, which fit me quite well. I loved this sweater. I wore it proudly. (Although now I do not care for it because it is pink.) But then, it was a treasure. 7 years ago, my brother, sister and I moved to our new adoptive home. I wore it a lot, the front pocket ripped because of the eggs I'd gather and shove into there. It experienced dust, chicken poop, mud, rain, snot, and love.
When it got to where I was too big for it I passed it down to my little sister, in which she too loved and cherished that sweater. She wore it until she got to where it was too little, so we put it on a hanger by the back door. When we adopted two more little boys, the younger one wore it around. Then sadly we put it away because he had other jackets to wear.
Along came our nieces and nephews! When the come visit us at the barn they wear this...
...our treasured little sweater.
That sweater has survived for 7 or 8 years. It suffered through rainy, cold, snotty days. It still works, it keeps my nephew nice and cozy just as that sweater did to me so many years ago.
Friday
Today is Friday.... You want to know what that means? It means three days off of school!!!!!! YAY! Well let me rephrase that, I finish Thursday's school on Friday... (Because I do House of Faith on Thur.) But I usually have 4-5 assignments that day. So oh well. I do my Thur, Friday so that way I can play on Saturday and Sunday. Does that make any sense? Okay good.
You know, I realized something... sense is a hard word to spell if you don't know how to spell sense. It is pretty confusing... Do you get it? Okay well, there are three ways of spelling sense,
1. Sense
2. Cents
3. Scents
So see? Do you understand now?
Yesterday at House of Faith it was Club Challenge! It was a lot of fun, we had to wear camouflage so I wore camouflage! Here is what I wore:
This is me posing for the camera... Aren't I just beautiful? :)
I kinda like this picture... It looks purty cool...
This was before I got my face painted at HOF. I wish I had a camera. My whole face was covered with camo face paint. One of the girls there painted my face. It looked awesome. But they said I looked like a monster... :( It kinda hurt my ego.
That is all folks! Thanks for reading!
Chores
Here are some pictures of our barn chores...
Here is my nephew "Guarding" the feed... (he is so cute in that pink jacket!)
Nosy, one of our milk cows. She is a Jersey/Holstein cross.
Here is January. One of our Jersey heifers. She is bred and we plan on using her as a milk cow.
 Feeding the bovines! Alfalfa and some trash hay mix.
 My nephew is having some trouble... I am so much help because I am laughing and holding the camera.
He is now showing me some hay, he asked me if I eat this stuff.
My pretty little sister. (a.k.a my partner in crime)
My sweet sweet wonderful milk goat, known by the beautiful name of:
Elephante... (she is not sweet! she is a elephant!)
Another one of our milk cows, Hershey. She is a black Jersey. She is supposed to be bred but it kinda remains unknown right now... Isn't she pretty?
Stormy.... This is Nosy's calf. She is really pretty and likes to frolic around alot.
December, one of our Jersey heifers. She too, is bred.
My partner's in crime... I mean my crew.
Feeding the sheep... and bovines some trash hay.
Last but not least, here is the author:
This is me. Marie... I am usually the trouble maker... he he!
